Number 1

I've been thinking about writing my first blog post for months now. I actually created my blog way back in about June and have been fiddling with headers and such since then but never actually got around to writing anything.

So the time has come to bite the bullet! I found the perfect platform to launch myself from, the thing which I just have to join in with.

One of the blogs I read regularly is Punky & Me (among others of course!) and Vic is having a bit of fun over at her blog with My Place & Yours. This week the theme is "My Pin Cushion". Excellent! I thought. I have an awesome pin cushion (says me!) and I would love to share it.

So without further ado here is my pin cushion....

Her name is Patchy and she is made with some old scraps I just couldn't bear to throw away. She is very functional too... under her shell on the bottom is where I keep my needles and embroidery scissors (the needles were always getting lost in my old pin cushion).

So there you have it. My first ever blog post! Thanks Vic for the inspiration :o) Can't wait for next week's theme!

Aw, Patchy is adorable, no wonder you love him!

I am honored you decided to make your debut into the blogosphere via my meme! Yay! You'll love it now you've started, promise. It's one of those things that, once you get into it, you wonder what you ever did before.

Enjoy.

Patchy looks a little tired of having pins stuck into him! So cute.

That is such a lovely pin cushion. It's a very good idea to have your needles and scissors handy as well.
